Craobh Loch Gile Members Shine at Fleadh Cheoil Shligigh 2026
We would like to congratulate all of our members who took part in Fleadh Cheoil Shligigh 2026.
It was a fantastic weekend celebrating Irish traditional music, song, whistling, lilting, dancing and the Irish language. We were delighted to see so many of our members representing Craobh Loch Gile with pride and enthusiasm. For many, this was their very first Fleadh, and we hope it will be the first of many memorable experiences.
We are especially proud of all our competitors and are delighted to congratulate our medal winners on their outstanding achievements.
Our successful competitors will now go on to represent Craobh Loch Gile and County Sligo at the Connacht Fleadh, which takes place in Mohill, Co. Leitrim, on 4–5 July 2026. We wish them every success as they prepare for the next stage of competition.
A special word of thanks also goes to our dedicated tutors, along with everyone who has worked tirelessly with our céilí bands and grúpaí cheoil throughout the year. Their commitment and encouragement play a vital role in helping our members develop their musical skills and confidence.
Finally, congratulations once again to every member who represented the branch so successfully at this year's Fleadh. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to supporting you in the Connacht Fleadh.
